Nicknamed the Stags, Mansfield Town were formed in 1897 when they were known as Mansfield Wesleyans, changing to the current name in 1910. They were elected to the football league in season 1931/2 and play their home games in the 10,000 all seater capacity.
The clubs honours include Division Four Champions in the 1974-75 season and Division Three champions in the 1976-77 season as well as the Football League Trophy in 1986-87.
