Manchester United goalkeepers shirts have predominnatly been green or blue with the odd yellow or white kit also. Royal Green became the dominant colour chosen by many English clubs after that.

Peter Schmeichel arguably the club's best ever goalkeeper was also known for wearing the unique designs in that era of goalkeeping shirts. Currently green, blue and yellow are the dominant colours produced by the manufacturer, Nike.
