The team's early home shirts were a combination of yellow and green with the occasional red and white shirt released. However, once the club was renamed as Manchester United, the shirts were solely red aside from the home shirts used between 1922 and 1927 that were white with red details. The rest of the 20th and 21st century saw United deploy the red shirt with white shorts. One of the most recognisable Manchester United home shits was the one used in 1999 where the club won the treble winning the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.
In 1982, the first sponsor was placed on the famous red shirt in the form of Sharp electronics company who remained present for 18 years until 2000 when they were replaced by Vodafone. 2006 saw the team sponsored by AIG until AON placed their white worded logo on the front in 2010. Famous home kits include the 1907-1911 red home shirt in which the club won their first ever league and FA Cup title in 1908 and 1909. Other notable shirts include the 1998-99 red home shirt sponsored by Sharp Electronics which saw the club win the treble for the first time in their history and the 1967-68 shirt worn by United legend Sir Bobby Charlton in the clubs first ever European Championship title.
