Marceloa Vieira da Silva Junior is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Real Madrid. He played for Fluminense in 2005 to 2006 where he made 30 appearances scoring six goals. He was named in the 2006 Campeonato Brasiliero Serie A Team of the Year.
In 2007 he moved to Europe signing a deal with Spanish giants Real Madrid. He made his debut in a 2-0 defeat to Deportivo la Coruna in January 2007. Since then he has cemented a left back position at the club as he has played over 150 league matches for the club. He was a key player in the victorious 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2011-12 La Liga campaigns as well as the 2010-11 Copa del Rey. He was named in the 2011 UEFA Team of the Year.
Marcelo has played for Brazil U-17, U-20 and U-23 youth sides. He made his senior debut against Wales where he also netted his first goal with a long range effort. He has won the 2008 Olympic Bronze and the 2012 Olympic Silver Medals.
