Montpellier was first founded under the name Stade Olympique Montpellerain (SO Montpellier) and played under that name for most of their existence. The club are one of the founding members of the first division of French football along with Marseille, Rennes, Sochaux and Nice. The club's honours include one Ligue 1 title, the 1929 and 1990 Coupe de France and the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 1999.

2022/23 Montpellier Home Shirt

Montpellier's 2022/23 Nike home shirt was dark blue with an orange graphic. As one of Nike's Standard teams, the jersey took on one of the Swoosh's custom templates, opting for a hooped design with a gradient fade finish. The same customed look featured in Sporting's away shirt for that season.

2022/23 Montpellier Away Shirt

Montpellier's 2022/23 Nike away shirt adopted the Tiempo Premier II template, combining a white body with vivid red standard sleeves. The monochrome logos, arguably the most in any football shirt, went in black at the front.

Montpellier HSC are a French club based in Montpellier, France. The club won Ligue 1 in the 2011-12 season. They play their home matches at the Stade de la Mosson which holds 32,900 people. The official club was founded in 1974 after a merger.

The club has an intense rivalry with Nimes. The clubs nickname is MHSC or La Paillade.
