Napoli are an Italian football club and they play their home matches wearing light blue shirts manufactured by Kappa. They play their homes games in Stadio San Paolo located in Naples. The club is principally sponsored by Lete since 2006. They are on the clubs to be nicknamed the ‘Blues’ given their traditional blue home colour. As Naples is a coastal city, the colours of the club have always been derived from the blue waters of the Gulf of Naples. Originally while using the name Naples FBC, the colours of the club implemented two shades of blue.

Napoli 23/24 Kits

Napoli 23/24 Home Shirt

There was more than meets the eye regarding Napoli’s 2023/24 EA7 home shirt. At first, it seemed like the shirt focused on the club’s coastal affiliations and Italian heritage by sporting a plain azure blue shirt capped off with an Italian flag striping along the edges of the sleeve cuffs and collar. But hidden tonally on the base was a micro pattern of repeating Napoli crests, which when viewed from afar gave the shirt a honeycomb-like, mesh textured visual. Coming in to the season as the Serie A defending champions, the Scudetto shield proudly sat at the centre of the chest. White trims along the seams of the raglan sleeves and Napoli’s initials at the back below the collar signed off the look of the kit.

Napoli’s 2023/24 EA7 away shirt was ostensibly white with navy embellishments courtesy of the raglan sleeve trims, v collar and sleeve cuffs. The bright base enabled the kit to display a picturesque faded grey silhouette of the Mount Vesuvius, the scenic volcano located at the Gulf of Naples. Like in the case of the home shirt, the base had an embossed micro pattern of the Napoli crests forming as part of the base. The Scudetto Shield sat prominently at the centre of the chest between the club and the technical sponsor’s logos.

The shirt was primarily light blue, with the wide raglan-sleeve cuffs being dark, intense blue, as well as the front part of the v collar. Dark blue also coloured the back of the collar, though white segments that extended to the seam of the shoulder appeared at the sides. The sides of the collar followed the same light blue shade of the entire shirt. The raglan sleeves displayed a subtle camouflage pattern and three white Kappa logos on each shoulder. The side of the wide cuffs had a white inverted triangle connected to the upper edge. All logos of the club and sponsors, aside from one at the back, were displayed on the front. White vertical strips on the lateral rounded off the look of the new home kit.

Napoli are one of the most iconic football clubs in Italy as one of the best players to ever play the game Diego Maradona helped the club to win the Serie A in 1987 and 1990, a UEFA Cup, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana. Arguably the most famous Napoli home shirt was the one worn by Mardaona in that late 80’s and early 90’s period.

Societa Sportiva Calcio Napoli, or just Napoli are known to their fans as the Azzurri or I ciucciarelli. One of the most celebrated player in the club was the Argentine Diego Maradona. The arrival of Rafa Benitez in the 2013-14 season resulted in an overhaul of signings arriving including Dries Mertens, Gonzalo Higuain, Raul Albiol, Jose Callejon, Michu and Pepe Reina. Today, Napoli has the likes of Hirving Lozano, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen.

Founded in 1904 by an English sailor as Naples Foot-Ball & Cricket Club, the club’s original kit was a sky blue & navy striped shirt worn with black shorts.

Napoli now wear azure blue home shirts with white shorts, they have won the Scudetto twice, first in 1986/87 and then again in 1989/90. That first win was helped in no small part by Diego Maradona who the club had signed for a record fee from Barcelona. They also have 6 titles in the Coppa Italia.
