Newcastle United 23/24 Away Kit
Perhaps taking into consideration their Saudi owners, Newcastle rocked a green Castore away shirt for the 2023/24 season. It had a tonal abstract graphic that looked like a playful representation of the club’s bespoke striping pattern for their home kits. Indeed the visuals seemed to be a mashup of some sort. However prominent the green was, this away shirt still had some room to incorporate the traditional colours through the black with white piping sleeve cuffs and collar.
2022/23 Newcastle United Away Shirt
One of the cleanest alternate shirts in 2022/23, Newcastle’s dark blue Castore away had no graphics or design elements except for the gold accents coming from the monochrome logos, neckline panel, sleeve cuffs and the minimal streaking pattern along with it.
2021/22 Newcastle United Away Shirt
The Toons wore a Castore away shirt for their 2021/22 Premier League campaign. Against the backdrop of a dark grey base, the jersey ran multiple narrow hoop stripes all over the shirt. Abstract distortions went across the pattern to provide a warped effect. Gold details, such as the logos, the neckline, and the edge of the white polo collar, complemented the primary colour of the outfit. White accent sourced from the side profile of the collar.
2020/21 Newcastle United Away Shirt
The Puma-produced away shirt of Newcastle United for the 2020/21 season had a vibrant lime green base colour and navy blue accents for the shoulder trim and logos, including the monochrome club badge on the left chest. Proliferating the spaces of the front and sleeves were the isometric depictions of multiple squares similar to that of the Valencia away shirt. The shirt had a collar that covered the back and the sides of the henley neckline. The entire backside showed a clean look highlighting the shirt’s colours. A lime green NUFC lettering appeared on the back of the collar.
Newcastle United Away Kits
Newcastle United were established in 1892 and their first away/change kits were black and white striped which is their current home shirt today. Following the black and white striped was a solid white shirt with black trim then a rainbow of colours including yellow, blue and red. Recent away kit history featured an array of colours, with the 2020/21 being a lime yellow shade.
In the 1970s and 1980’s Newcastle’s away kits were predominantly yellow with the inclusion of grey, blue and green included. From the 1990’s onwards Newcastle have had several different styled away shirts including blue, green, dark blue, white, black, yellow, purple and orange variations. Initially disliked by fans, a yellow striped away kit, became a bit of a classic after the team were so succesful wearing it.
