English professional football club Northampton Town FC currently wear maroon and white home shirts and they play their home games at Sixfields Stadium which holds over 7,000 people. The club's first ever home shirt was brown and sky blue and in the late 19th century they changed to their more familiar maroon and white shirt. The club's highest ever honour was the Southern Football League where they won it in the 1908-09 season.
Northampton play their home games in claret shirts, with white shorts and claret socks. As yet Northampton's claret shirt has not graced the top flight of English football.

Northampton Town were founded in 1897, they are a professional football team from Northamptonshire, known locally as the cobblers as the town has been home to shoe makers for generations. Town play at the 7,653 capacity Sixfields Stadium in Northampton where they have been since moving from the County Ground in October 1994.
Tommy Fowler holds the club record of the most appearances with 552 and Jack English holds the record for the most club goals with 143.
