New Oldham Athletic 07/08 Away
The Latics as Oldham are nicknamed play their home games in blue shirts and shorts with white socks, the away kit is all dark blue. The blue Oldham shirt is yet to be worn in lifting any major trophies but did feature in the League Cup Final of 1990 when they lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest.
Formed in 1895 originally known as Pine Villa FC, they changed names in 1899 to the Oldham Athletic AFC. Oldham joined the Football League in 1907/08 and were promoted to the top of English flight a couple of years later. Boundary Park on Sheepfoot Lane in Oldham, Greater Manchester is where Oldham Athletic play their home games, the stadium has a capacity of 13,620.
The Latics originally played in red and white striped home shirts where they first had a blue home shirt in the early 20th century. The club have been FA Cup semi-finalists on three occasions and they were runners-up in the League Cup in 1990.
