Divock Origi is a Belgian footballer who plays for Premier League club Liverpool and represents his nation Belgium on the international stage. Origi is renowned for his deadly pace and eye for goal which makes the player one of the most exciting young prospects in European football.
Born in Ostend, Belgium, Origi began his footballing journey at the young age of six where he played for the Genk academy and developed under their nurturing for nine years before making the bold switch to France and signing for Lille.
Origi featured infrequently for the reserve team in his first season of senior football however the following year he was promoted into the first team where he made his debut against Troyes and scored the winner in a 1-0 victory. The Summer of 2014 saw Premier League giants Liverpool FC acquire Origi's talents in a deal worth £10 million and now poses as one of the club's most attacking threats.
Origi first represented his nation within the Belgium U15 squad and has since progressed through the youth ranks where he now wears the senior team's shirt and looks set to become a key player within future tournaments.
