Panama are a national football team that plays in the CONCACAF confederation. Nicknamed 'Los Canaleros' meaning 'The Canal Men', Panama wear an all red home kit with white detailing and supplied by Italian brand Lotto. At the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign they were 90 seconds away from beating the US and advancing to the play-offs against New Zealand but they were eventually out of the spot by allowing the US players yo score two stoppage time goals.
Panama played their first ever international match against Venezuela in 1938 and their best ever position in the CONCACAF Gold Cup were runners-up in the 2005 and 2013 tournaments. Their major titles include the Copa Centromericana in 2009 and they won the 1951 CCCF Championship.
