Paraguay are team which plays in the CONMEBOL confederation and they wear red and white striped home shirts which are supplied by adidas. The nation have ever been improving on the international stage where they made their best ever placing in the World Cup where they reached the quarter-finals in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The nation have also won the Copa America on two occasions in 1953 and 1979.
Paraguay play in the CONMEBOL World Cup Qualification group, they have made it to eight World Cup Finals, but their best performance to date has only been reaching the knock-out stages (1986, 1998 and 2002). Paraguay have won the Copa America twice and also were runners up to Argentina in the 1994 Olympics, taking home the silver medal.
