The Poland kit has traditionally been adorned with the white eagle, the Polish coat of arms like several other national teams. It has a  history of mixing it up with its logo placements. For example, for the Euro 2020 shirt, the team crest is placed centrally on the chest , with the kit supplier logo sitting on its upper right corner (when viewed from the wearer’s perspective). Poland had different kits produced by different kit suppliers like Lotto, adidas, and Puma, before settling with Nike in 2012. Here we bring you the latest about Poland kits, including the ones for Euro 2024.

The Poland Nike 2020 home kit is mainly a white shirt for a clean, classy look with some minor red accents. The polo collar is half white, half red, with the red part occupying the edges. Poland Away 2020 Kit

The Poland 2020 away kit is almost the exact opposite of the home kit as the colours have been interchanged, and has an only small amount of changes introduced. The main colour of the new Nike away outfit is now red and the applications are white. The logo is still front and centre with the white swoosh on the badge’s top right corner. The v-neck is no longer polo collared and instead simply uses a seamlessly integrated white v-collar. The half-white half red pattern is applied on the cuffs, with the red part still on the edges. The white zaps on the sides are made visible by the red base.

Poland in International Football

In recent years the Polish national football team has become a prominent force in European football as the current roster of players is spearheaded by the prolific Robert Lewandowski. The nation hosted the 2012 UEFA EURO with Ukraine where they failed to progress past the group stage. They drew to Greece and Russia and lost to Czech Republic.

Poland played their first international game against Hungary, losing 1-nil in Budapest on 18th December 1921. At the Munich Olympics in 1972, Poland claimed the Gold Medal, they also have two silvers from 1976 and in 1992.

Robert Lewandowski is the most capped and top goal scorer for Poland.

Poland World Cup Kits

Poland World Cup 2022 KitsWorld Cup 2022 – Poland had to earn their 2022 WC slot through the playoffs, defeating Sweden in the finals. They were supposed to face Russia in the semifinals, but the sanction against the country due to the invasion of Ukraine resulted to them being suspended. This helped Poland go to the finals automatically, which they were able to make count. For its white home kit in the Qatar World Cup, Poland opted to put all the design element on the sleeves that showcased a representative pattern of an eagle wing. The red change shirt remained plain in red, though the white accents from the round collar and sleeve cuffs contained a singular red middle pinstriping.

Poland World Cup 2018 KitsWorld Cup 2018 – When Poland went to Russia in 2018, they were 12 years removed from their last WC outing. Their kits displayed a templated pattern of a diagonal half-and-half design, whose demaracation was carrying a jagged, narrowing striping pattern on the underside. The country was considered as a favourite to come out of their group, but the overall performance disappointed. Similar to its preceeding group stage exits, Poland lost the opening two before winning the final one, which obviously was not enough to push them to the knockout stages.

Poland World Cup 2006 KitsWorld Cup 2006 – With their 2002 group stage exit past them at this point, there were high hopes when the nation qualified again in 2006. Unfortunately, the team had the same result: losing the two opening games and winning the last one. The notable detail on the Poland kits for this World Cup was the crest-inspired faded eagle silhouette as the front graphic, which appeared even more subtle in the red change shirt.

Poland World Cup 2002 KitsWorld Cup 2002 – Poland’s 2002 entry marked the end of their 16-year wait for another World Cup appearance. But they failed to make it count as successive defeats in their two opening matches confirmed an early exit. The nation’s kits in 2002 were marked with slanted trim seams and contrasting curved lateral panels that covered the side of the body and the entirety of the undersleeve.

Poland World Cup 1986 KitsWorld Cup 1986 – Departing from the plain looks of its earlier WC kits, Poland introduced some designs to its red home and white away shirts in 1986. Both uniforms had broad off-set bordered diagonal stripes overlaying the background pinstripes. Despite moving on to the round of 16, heavy defeats to Brazil in the said phase and to England in the last match of the group stage suggested that the golden era of Poland that started in 1974 had come to an end.

Poland World Cup 1982 KitsWorld Cup 1982 – Poland’s kits in the first WC of the ’80s essentially had the same look as the outfits during the 70s, with the ’82 ones differentiated by their polo collar finish. Poland drew their opening game with Italy but suffered a 2-0 defeat in their semifinal matchup, preventing them from besting their 1974 third place finish. Beating France in third-place playoff, however, helped them at least replicate their rank.

Poland World Cup 1978 KitsWorld Cup 1978 – For 1978, much of the details of their kits were carried over from those they wore in their 1974 World Cup return. The only observable change was the switch to a round collar, which also followed the contrasting accent of the template shoulder stripes. Grzegorz Lato continued to lead Poland as he did four years ago. Revenge wins for Brazil and Argentina ended the nation’s campaign in the second round of the group stage.

Poland World Cup 1974 KitsWorld Cup 1974 – 36 years since their first and only WC appearance at that moment, Poland executed a fine return in 1974, finishing third and defeating the likes of Argentina, Italy, and Brazil in the process. It was here where they settled with having white for their home kit and red for the away. It was also worth noting that the team opted for a central placement of the team crest.
