Pumas whose full team name is Club Universidad Nacional, are also known as Universidad or UNAM in Mexican football, Puma’s were formed in 1954. They play their home games in the 63,200 capacity Estadio Olimpico Universitario, Avenida Insurgentes in Mexico City, Mexico.

Pumas 23/24 Home Kit
For 2023/24, Nike packaged the Pumas home shirt with the traditional white for the base and navy for the accents. The secondary colour detail was sourced from the slanting sleeve cuffs, logos and the bold Puma head, which was a constant of any Pumas kit. What’s new about the recognisable Pumas logo was the outline representation instead of the usual solid fill. It also had ‘cracks’ visuals on the side, as if to show the Puma had come out of the “Cantera” (quarry), the name of the club’s academy. It was like a representation of Pumas players being ready for ‘first-team’ action.
Pumas 23/24 Away Kit
Pumas wore a blackened blue Nike away shirt for the 2023/24 season. It displayed the Puma head in its traditional large illustration on the front side, with it being pastel gold in this kit. In the same vein of gold were the slanted sleeve cuffs as well as the backside, under-the-neckline panel positioned in-between the sleeves and the main body.

2022/23 Pumas Home Shirt
The Pumas 2022/23 home was a white-based Nike shirt that had the club’s Puma head logo in gold. As always, the logo occupied a prominent position on the front, bordered on the top and bottom by the lettermark/wordmark of the sponsors. The corporate liveries, including the Swoosh on the right hand-side of the chest, and the shoulder stripes with progressive intensity formed part of the shirt’s navy detailing. Navy and gold informed the dual striping of the sleeve cuffs and the henley collar.

With regard to this season’s alternate shirt, Pumas opted for a navy and gold combination for their Nike-produced kit. The former coloured the raglan sleeves and all the logos (including the Pumas head) up front, while the latter did the main body panel and the sleeve sponsor logos. A subtle detail added was the repeating pattern of tonal outlines that were seemingly emanating from the club’s iconic logo.
Pumas UNAM are a Mexican football club based in the country’s capital Mexico City and Universidad is one of the most popular clubs in Mexico. They have won seven Primera División championships and four international titles and their home shirt consists of a white kit with a gold’ Puma’ on the front which has featured on several of their shirts in past seasons.
Universidad has strong rivalries with Club América and Cruz Azul. These games are passionate and followed by the whole city. There is also a more recent rivalry with Guadalajara.
Their home ground is the Estadio OlÃmpico Universitario, which was the setting for the 1968 Summer Olympics. It has a capacity for 62,700 fans and is within the University, allowing it to be very close to its main supporters, the students.
