Known just as Ronaldo, he was born Ronaldo Luis Nazrio de Lima on the 22nd September 1976 in Bento Ribeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The striker has been named FIFA World Player of the Year three times and was the youngest ever winner in 1996 (also 1997 & 2002).
He has won two World Cups whilst playing for Brazil at the 1994 finals in the USA & in 2002 played in both Korea & Japan. He has scored the most goals ever at World Cup Finals with 15 goals in 19 games.
Ronaldo has played for many clubs in Europe but now appears in a Milan shirt in Serie A. He had previously played for Cruzeiro in Brazil, then Bobby Robson brought him to Dutch side PSV, then he went to Barcelona where he won the UEFA Cup, before his first spell in Italy at Inter Milan. Ronaldo played for Real Madrid in the Galacticos era, but failed to land any major silverware and moved in the January transfer window back to the San Siro, but instead to play for AC Milan.
