Danny Rose is an English footballer who plays for English club Tottenham Hotspur and the England national team. Starting his career at Leeds United Rose has played for several different clubs on loan including Watford, Peterborough United, Bristol City and Sunderland.
Rose was born on the 2nd of July 1990 in Doncaster, England and he began his club career at Leeds United making his professional debut in September 2006. The club were relegated from the Championship and went into administration where Rose was sold to Tottenham Hotspur in 2007 for £1 million. He made his first start for the club in April 2010 in the North London derby at White Hart Lane where he scored one of the goals of the season with a stunning volley. His goal helped the club to beat Arsenal in the league for the first time in over a decade.
Rose has been loaned out to several different English clubs including Watford in 2008, Peterborough United in 2009, Bristol City in 2010 and Sunderland in 2012. His return to Spurs in 2013 meant that he would be the starting left back at the club ahead of Benoit Assou-Ekotto who departed for Queens Park Rangers.
Rose has played for several England youth teams including the England Under-21 side and he made his debut in a 7-0 drubbing against Azerbaijan. He scored his first goal for the Under-21s in November 2009 against Portugal. In July 2012 he was selected to play in the Great Britain squad for the 2012 Summer Olympics.
