Bryan Ruiz was born in Costa Rica and plays for Fulham FC. He started his career at Alajuelense where he played 66 league matches scoring 21 goals. In 2006 he moved to Belgium where he signed for Gent. He played 78 matches for the club netting 26 goals. In 2009 he moved to Dutch side FC Twente. This is the club where he made a name for himself as he netted 35 league goals in 65 matches.
In August 2011 he signed a deal with for Fulham worth £10.6 million. He made his debut for the club against Blackburn Rovers in a 3-1 defeat. He scored his first goal for the club against Bolton Wanderers in a 2-0 win. Ruiz has become a pivotal player for Fulham in the past two seasons. For the second half of the 2013-14 season Ruiz signed a loan deal with Dutch club PSV Eindhoven.
Ruiz played for Costa Rica U-20 side before making his senior debut in 2005. He was a star in the 2010 FIFA World cup qualifiers as he netted six goals. Ruiz has great ball control and dribbling which makes him a key player for club and country. He provides many assists on the wing and in the centre of the pitch.
