Nuri Sahin was born on the 5th of September 1988 in Ludenscheid, Germany. Sahin began his youth career at RSV Meinerzhagen then moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2000. On the 6th of August 2005 Sahin made his debut for the club aged 16 years and 334 days making him the youngest player to have ever played in the Bundesliga. In November of the same year he became the youngest player to score a goal in a match against FC Nuremburg. Sahin was pivotal in the clubs victorious 2010-11 Bundesliga campaign. Sahin played 152 matches for the club scoring 17 goals and 36 assists. Nuri Shain signed for Borussia Dortmund on loan from Real Madrid nin the 2013-14 season.
In May 2011 Sahin signed a six year deal for Spanish giants Real Madrid. He made his debut in a 7-1 thrashing against Osasuna. He scored his first goal for the club against SD Ponferradina in the Copa del Rey. Sahin struggled to find a starting spot at the club and was loaned out for the 2011-12 season.
On the 25th of August 2012 Sahin signed a season long loan deal. He made his debut in a 2-0 home defeat against Arsenal. He scored his fist and second goal against West Bromwich Albion in a 2-1 win in the League Cup. He scored his first Premier League goal in a 5-2 win against Norwich City. For the 2013-14 season Sahin re-joioned Borussia Dortmund on loan for the season.
Sahin has played 32 matches for his native country Turkey. He has scored two goals for his nation one in 2005 and one in 2012. Sahin famously scored a goal for Turkey on his debut in a match against his birth nation, Germany. Sahin can speak five different languages fluently.
