Southampton 23/24 Home Kit
The 2023/24 Hummel Southampton home shirt was inspired by the 1987/89 home, which was also the exact shirt worn by Denmark in 1986. As such, the contemporary outfit featured an all-over vertical pinstripe base pattern in red and white, with the exact half of the body getting applied with a red overlay to give not just a tonal look but also to present a half-and-half design. With one of them also carrying a red overlay on its pinstriped pattern, the sleeves also carried the half-and-half-visuals. The city’s Hampshire Rose symbol was shown at the back below the collar, with micro ones forming along the pinstripes as well.
Southampton Home Kits

Southampton’s 2022/23 Hummel home shirt took inspiration from the kits of the early ’80s, as evident by the striking central band design. The jersey, however, reversed the colours, meaning the feature graphic was now in red with the rest of the shirt in white. Adding a bit of detail to the throwback design were the black borders that flowed seamlessly to the round collar, which, in turn, contained a red piping. A geometric pattern representing the iconic stanchions of St. Mary’s Park filled the rest of the body. Hummel’s templated shoulder chevrons appeared in red.
2021/22 Southampton Home Shirt
The Saints of the Premier League played with a Hummel-produced home shirt for the 2021/22 season. The shirt returned the familiar white and red striped look of the club during the previous seasons. The sleeves were plain red with black pipings, while the v-collar with a front overlap was black with red and white pipings sitting on top of the other. Black pinstripes separated the red and white verticals. Hummel’s trademark chevrons appeared in dark red on the shoulders and in light grey as a subtle all-over graphic that blended with the striped design of the body.

The Saints celebrated their 135th anniversary and had commemorated such with the release of their Under Armour 2020/21 home kit. The said home shirt featured the return of an iconic look, using a red base colour as the background for a white sash design over the right shoulder. The shirt also had broad sleeve cuffs and v neckline that were black and had an exposed inner white liner along their upper edges. A tonal black covering and side strips were applied on the end of the neckline and on the side of the cuffs, respectively. At the backside of the shirt, in the middle of the bottom edge, a golden WE MARCH ON lettering, placed on a white trapezoid with red sash background, read.

2021/22 Southampton Away Shirt
Southampton’s Hummel away shirt for 2021/22 had a yellow body and blue raglan sleeves. Inspired by the club’s away and third kits from 1991 to 1993, a tonal flame graphic appeared towards the bottom of the shirt. Yellow pipings completed both the sleeve and collar construction, the latter further polished with front overlap.
2020/21 Southampton Away Shirt
The 2020/21 away kit of Southampton FC continued the acknowledgement of the Saints’ football history. The away shirt was primarily navy blue, a nod to the navy blue shorts and socks worn by the club from 1891 to 1950. It also incorporatedroyal blue sleeve cuffs and v collar whose base has an inverted trapezoid cover. The edges of the collar exposed a yellow internal liner and so as the front side of the sleeve with the Under Armour and LD Sports logos using the same shade of yellow. The 1976 FA Cup final kit was said to had inspired these colour choices. The backside had a small white trapezoid patch, filled in with a red sash and WE MARCH ON branding, at the bottom edge.
Southampton Third Kits

The Saints had Hummel produce their third kits for 2022/23. The shirt was predominantly dark camo green, and had a diagonally-oriented design on the body. The visuals were placed in a striped formation, and the gradient effect was achieved through their strategic placements of blocked pinstripes.
2021/22 Southampton Third Shirt
Southampton’s Hummel third shirt for 2021/22 was predominantly black with red accents from the logos and the pipings of the raglan sleeves and collar with front overlap. A repeating micropattern of football pitches subtly dominated the front side of the body. The said embossed graphic paid tribute to the club’s former and current homes, The Dell and St. Mary’s.
2020/21 Southampton Third Shirt
Just like the home shirt, the 2020/21 Saints third strip also acknlowdged the club’s origins by having a sash design, this time being colour red on a white base and going over the left shoulder. The sash design was a nod to the club’s very first kit worn during their founding year in which actual sashes were worn. The third shirt also had broad sleeve cuffs and v neckline that were in red, with the black covering and side strips, also shown on the home kit, now more visible. Tonal red pipings appeared on the upper edge of the cuffs. The entire backside was clear and only the central white trapezoid with red sash going over the left corner on the bottom edge was the application. The golden lettering on the lone application now read 135, a reference to the club’s 135th anniversary.
