The Saints departed from the traditional striped pattern and opted for a sash design for their 2020/21 home kit. The red and white colours remain though.

Southampton's 2022/23 Hummel home shirt took inspiration from the kits of the early '80s, as evident by the striking central band design. The jersey, however, reversed the colours, meaning the feature graphic was now in red with the rest of the shirt in white. Adding a bit of detail to the throwback design were the black borders that flowed seamlessly to the round collar, which, in turn, contained a red piping. A geometric pattern representing the iconic stanchions of St. Mary’s Park filled the rest of the body. Hummel's templated shoulder chevrons appeared in red.

2021/22 Southampton Home Shirt

The Saints of the Premier League play with a Hummel-produced home shirt for the 2021/22 season. The shirt returns the familiar white and red striped look of the club during the previous seasons. The sleeves are plain red with black pipings, while the v-collar with a front overlap is black with red and white pipings sitting on top of the other. Black pinstripes separate the red and white verticals. Hummel's trademark chevrons appear in dark red on the shoulders and in light grey as a subtle all-over graphic that blends with the striped design of the body.

The Saints are celebrating their 135th anniversary and has commemorated such with the release of their Under Armour 20-21 Home Kit. The said home shirt features the return of an iconic look, using a red base colour as the background for a white sash design over the right shoulder. The shirt also has broad sleeve cuffs and v neckline that are black and have an exposed inner white liner along their upper edges. A tonal black covering and side strips are applied on the end of the neckline and on the side of the cuffs respectively. The sponsors' logos and brandings, UA on the right chest and LD sports on the centre of the front side, are all black. The Southampton FC crest is displayed with full colours and is enclosed in a shield insignia with a white fill and a black border.

At the backside of the shirt, in the middle of the bottom edge, a golden WE MARCH ON lettering, placed on a white trapezoid with red sash background, reads. Apart from this application, the entire backside is clear. Black shorts and red socks complete new home kit of the Saints.

Men's Southampton Shirt

Southampton Football Club, originally called St. Mary's YMA, was formed in November 1885. In 1898 the team moved into The Dell, the ground that was to be their home for over 100 years. However, as a result of poor stadium capacity and lack of space for development, the team moved to St Mary's Stadium in 2001.

The kit has been worn by well known names in the game such as Alan Ball, who later went on to manage the club, James Beattie, Mick Channon who went on to a distinguished career training horses, fans favourite Matthew Le Tissier, Peter Osgood and Kevin Keegan. Liverpool's defesinve lynchpin Virgil Van Dijk also made an appearance for the saints at the beginning of his career. Their lone silverware is the 1975/76 FA Cup Title.

Southampton had used their own brand Saints as the manufacturer on some occassions, notably from 1999 to 2008 and in 2014–15. Some of its standout players include Danny Ings and James Ward-Prowse.
