Sandro Raniere is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Premier League club Queens Park Rangers and the Brazil national football team. Sandro plays as a defensive midfielder and he is known for his world class awareness, tackling and strength.
Sandro was born on the 15th of March 1989 in Riachinho, Minas Gerais, Brazil and he began his club career with Internacional aged just 18 years old. Sandro was one of the Brazilian club's main players in their winning 2010 Copa Libertadores campaign. At the time the Brazilian midfielder had already signed a deal with Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.
In October 2009 Internacional and Tottenham Hotspur agreed a long term deal for Sandro signed a fee of £8 million. Sandro made his UEFA Champions League debut for Tottenham in February 2011 against AC Milan helping the side to win 1-0. Sandro's first goal for the club was against Chelsea in a 2-1 loss. Sandro scored a memorable long range goal against Manchester United in the 2013-14 season which finished in a 2-2 draw. In the summer of 2014 Sandro signed a permanent deal with Queens Park Rangers where he was re-united with former manager Harry Redknapp.
Having played for Brazil at the under-20 level Sandro made his senior debut for his nation against Chile in September 2009. Sandro missed out on making the 2010 World Cup with Brazil.
