Our history of Scotland Home kits

2016 - With the team failing to reach an international tournament since 1998, Scotland hope their patriotic tartan-styled home shirt will help their hopes of World Cup qualification for 2018. Their adidas shirt featured a two-tone blue tartan across the body whilst the sleeves were kept clean white for further blue adidas branding.

2014 - adidas issued Scotland with a predominantly navy blue home shirt for their quest of European Championship qualification within 2015/16 however the Scots were narrowly eliminated after finishing fourth in their group behind Germany, Poland, and Republic of Ireland. Passionate tartan detailing stole the headlines at the flanks of the shirt.

2012 - The home shirt for Scotland within 2012 was as traditionally styled as possible through an adidas kit template featuring a bold polo-neck collar and navy blue entirety. More unique touches came in the form of a Sottish flag featuring on the chest panel in an embossed form to match a similar design at the bottom of the collar.

2010 - With the coat of arms posing proudly upon the front panel in embossed fashion, Scotland's home shirt for 2010 was composed from a simplistic adidas kit template featuring adidas three-stripe branding in white on the navy blue base-coat.

1998 - Showcasing as the last time Scotland competed within a major international competition, their home shirt for the 1998 World Cup was made by Umbro and featured a hooped effect of two-tone blue whilst a unique buttoned collar also starred. Scotland faced a tough group of which included the likes of Brazil and couldn't progress into the latter stages after picking up just a single point.

1996 - Using a bold tartan theme to steal the headlines, Kit suppliers Umbro issued Scotland a truly patriotic home shirt for Euro 1996 of which featured their trademark navy blue base-coat with additional touches of purple. Scotland failed to reach the latter stages in heartbreaking fashion after being eliminated by Holland of whom only scored more goals than the Scots after finishing level on points, goal difference, and the game between the teams finishing 0-0.
