Slovenia or Slovenja are a nation which plays in the UEFA confederation and they recently played in the 2010 FIFA World Cup where they played England, United States and Algeria. The club;'s home shirts boast an all white home kit which is supplied by Nike. The club's current roster includes several well known names including Samir Handanovic, Milivoje Novakovic, Zlatko Dedic, Tim Matavz, Valter Birsa and Bostjan Cesar.
The Slovenian national football team is one of the youngest national teams not playing their first international against Croatia in Murska Sobota, Slovenia until 19 June 1991 losing 1-nil. Prior to this the players were part of the Yugoslavian national football team.
