AC Sparta Prague are a Czech football club and they have won a total of 24 league titles making them the most successful in the country in terms of league titles. The club are most notably known for wearing maroon shirts with black trim. The club's best ever performance on the European stage was 1991-92 where they reached the semi-finals.
AC Sparta Praha or Sparta Prague was formed in 1893 the year after Slavia Prague. They play their home games in the Toyota Arena or the Letna Stadion in the Czech Republic.

The name Sparta was inspired by the fighting spirit and courage of the people from the ancient city of Sparta. From the very beginning, the colours of Sparta were blue (symbolizing Europe), red (symbolizing the royal city), and yellow (together with red, the official colours of Prague).
