Spartak Moscow have instantly recognisable home shirts, mainly red with a white horizontal hoop around the chest, the design has changed little since the 1930s. Following the collapse of the USSR, Spartak dominated the newly formed Russian league, winning all but one league title between 1992 and 2001 and hence being a permament representative of Russia in the Champions League through-out that time.

One of Russian football's most successful teams, Spartak Moscow are known as the the Red-Whites because of their shirts and also The Meat, The Pigs and The People's Team. Founded in 1922, the play at the Luzhniki Stadium, where the 2008 Champions League Final was played and where the final of the 2018 World Cup will be played when Russia host the tournament.

The club have had several big names play for the team including Tino Costa, Lucas Barrios, Marek Suchy, Kim Kallstrom, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, Serdar Tasci and many more.

The club have several kit suppliers in their past including, Nike, Umbro and adidas and kit sponsors such as Lukoli, Akai, Urengoygazprom, Unipack, JINDO and Danieli.
