Spartak Moscow have instantly recognisable home shirts, mainly red with a white horizontal hoop around the chest, the design has changed little since the 1930s. Following the collapse of the USSR, Spartak dominated the newly formed Russian league, winning all but one league title between 1992 and 2001 and hence being a permament representative of Russia in the Champions League through-out that time.
