The Togo national football team currently play in the CAF confederation and they wear an all yellow home kit manufactured by Puma. The club's best ever player is Emmanuel Adebayor who has played for several prestigious clubs around the globe including Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur. The club have qualified for just one FIFA World Cup and that was for the 2006 tournament in Germany.

The nation have played in seven Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and their best ever performance was reaching the quarter-finals in the 2013 tournament in South Africa.
