The home shirt of FC Tokyo is all blue and they also play in blue shorts and socks. They play at the 50,000 capacity Ajinomoto Stadium which is shared with local rivals Tokyo Verdy.
FC Tokyo is a Japanese football club based in Tokyo and they currently play in the J/League Division 1 where they have won the J. League Cup on two occasions in 2004 and 2009. The club have had several World Cup players to play for the side including Paulo Wanchope, Yoichi Doi, Teruyuki Moniwa, Yasuyuki Konno and Yuto Nagatomo.
FC Tokyo started in 1935 as a works team for Tokyo Gas they spent their early years in the lower divisions of Japanese football. In 1999 companies of Tokyo worked together to make a joint team Tokyo Football Club with the aim of making the team eligible for joining the J. League. In the same year FC Tokyo won the J2 championship and were promoted to the J League.
The club's honours include the 1990 Regional Promotion Series, two J.League Cups, one J.League Division 2 title, one (Old) Japan Football League and much more.
