The Tunisia national football team, nicknamed Les Aigles de Carthage, they play in the African Nations Cup and the African qualification section of World Cup qualifying. They played their first international match against Algeria in Tunis, Tunisia on the 25th June 1957 winning 2-1. Tunisia play their home games in red shirts, shorts and socks with the away strip being the uninspiring all white. Tunisia have reached the world World Cup finals three times, but 2004 was the high spot when the red shirts lifted the Africa Cup on home soil.

Tunisia have had several kit suppliers in their history including adidas, Lotto, Uhlsport, Puma and Burrda. The nations first ever international match was against Algeria in 1957.

Tunisia won their first and only ever Africa Cup of Nations title in 2004 where they also hosted the tournament. In the past several decades Tunisia have been one of the best teams from the CAF confederation.

The Tunisia national team currently play in the CAF confederation and they have played in a total of four World Cups where they have never been qualified for Round 1. The team wear an all white home kit with red trim and their away kit is usually the opposite with red being the base colour. They created history in the 1978 tournament in Argentina by becoming the first African side to win a World Cup match, beating Mexico 3–1.
