FC Viktoria Plzen is a Czech football club based in the city of Plzen and they currently play in the Gambrinus Liga. The club recently won the 2012-13 Gambrinus Liga which enabled the club to qualify for the 2013-14 UEFA Champions League. The club played against the likes of European champions Bayern Munich, Russian champions CSKA Moscow and Manchester City in one of the hardest groups of the Champions League group stage.
The clubs honours include two Gambrinus Liga titles and several Czech Cup and Czech Supercup titles. The club have had several big Czech names play for the club including Petr Cech, Jan Berger, Marek Jarolim, Pavel Nedved and Vaclav Pilar.
The club's captain Pavel Horvath is arguably the best ever player to play for the side as he was voted as Viktoria's best player of all time at the club's centenary gala in 2012.
The club play in red and blue striped home shirts which are supplied by Puma and they play their home games at the Struncovy Sady stadium which holds 11,700 people.
