Vitesse's home colours are white, black and yellow. Their shirts are striped with black and yellow with white shorts and white socks. The club have had the likes of Philip Cocu, Roy Makaay and Ricky vans Wolfswinkel play for them.
Vitesse named Stichting Betaaid Voetbal Vitesse are a Dutch football club based in Arnhem. The club was founded in May 1892. Vitesse meaning 'speed' in French. Vitesse has had success in the Eredivisie and the UEFA Cup. The side play their home games in the GelreDome Arnhem Stadium which holds 25,000 people.

The club have never won the Eredivisie having being runners up on six occasions. They have won the Eerste Divisie twice and have been runners up of the KNVB Cup on three occasions. Vitesse are considered one of the middle tier teams in the Eredivisie.
On 16 August 2010 the former Georgian footballer and now businessman Merab Jordania became the owner of Vitesse. Jordania expressed his ambition for Vitesse to become champion of the Eredivisie league within three years.
