Wales were first established in 1881 the same year they played their first international against England. The side experienced a 'golden age' from 1900 to 1911 where they had consecutive runs of Five Nations titles. They beat the All Blacks 3-0 in 1905. Wales hosted the 1999 World Cup and won their first Grand slam since 1978 in 2005. Wales have a total of 11 Grand Slams all up.
Wales play in a traditional red shirt with white shorts and red socks. The shirts are made by Under Armour and the shirt sponsor is an insurance firm, Admiral. Wales first home ground was at St. Helens ground in 1882 and now is the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
