Borussia Dortmund Third kits are dedicated for knockout matches. You usually see the third shirt worn during DFB-Pokal matches and sometimes in the UCL as well. Borussia Dortmund 23/24 Third Kit
Borussia Dortmund debuted their 2023/24 Puma third in a preseason match against Manchester United. The predominantly yellow kit had a 3D geometric print that looked like the sides of diamonds with a bit of rough patches to them. Spreading throughout the entirety of the front side, the graphics design was also seen on the sleeves. Solid black accents were delivered through the collar and neckline panel. #BORUSSIAVERBINDET signed off at the back below the collar.
2022/23 Borussia Dortmund Third Shirt
Primarily for cup matches, Borussia Dortmund’s third shirt took note of the title-winning 1989/90 Finals shirt for its design. The retro inspiration centred on the black-white-black stripes that angled from the shoulders and toward the front side. While the 2022/23 cup kit retained the asymmetrical length of the featured design, it changed the composition, using smaller diagonals for a dynamic effect rather than the solid fills of the original. Another change was that the right side stripes were generally longer than the left, plus their narrowing width as they got closer to the black round collar. Like other recent Cup jerseys, the base colour was Cyber Yellow.
2021/22 Borussia Dortmund Third Shirt
Borussia Dortmund carried over their third kit of the previous year towards the 2021/22 season, using the shirt for domestic and international away cup matches. The predominantly white jersey had a buttoned yellow henley collar and drew attention to the yellow and grey cubic graphic prints spreading all over the shirt. The cubic structure supporting the eponymous ‘U’ of the Dortmund U-Tower was the main inspiration of the design element.
2020/21 Borussia Dortmund Third Shirt
The predominantly white 2020/21 Puma Borussia Dortmund third shirt was produced by Puma’s ‘Crafted from Culture’ concept. The culturally inspired design, in this case, was the cubic graphic print that spread all over the shirt and had shades of yellow and grey. Specifically, the pattern was inspired by the Dortmund U-tower and in particular, the cubic structure supporting the eponymous ‘U.
